As Karanbir announced it in the 6.0 release mail , we planned also to provide two other spins the minimal one and the lws one. Good news is that the minimal one is almost finished and being intensively tested. Blog. MATE on the Desktop. A number of people seem to not like the idea of gnome3 on the desktop for EL7, instead looking for the familiar gnome2 feel. I've taken a run at building MATE on the el7 beta and it looks pretty good overall. Over the next few days I'd like to sit down with some of the interested parties to discuss the best way to. If you're interested in the tools/kickstarts used to produce those live media spins (still be to really built when CentOS 7 Final will appear , so be patient...), you can find it on the official git repository used by the CentOS Project or you can also fork/clone (and why not create a Pull Request on Github if you want to contribute !).

Each branch (referring to a distribution) contains a README file for how to use the files contained. This installation method can support the use of a single Kickstart file to install CentOS on multiple machines, making it ideal for network and system administrators. All Kickstart scripts and the log files of their execution are stored in the /tmpdirectory to assist with debugging installation failures.
